Minimalist Mental Disorders Posters

A friend of mine clued me in to this art by British graphic designer Patrick Smith. This is a great combination of art and psychology, and I wanted to share it with you!

  1. Hello!

I found your blog when I was searching for information about Art Therapy. I have returned to college three years ago after being a stay-at-home mom for many years and will be graduating in 2012 with a BA in Psychology. I have always loved art and have taken some art classes (and will be taking several more before graduation), although I don't know if I'm artistically gifted by any means...

I've been interested in the concept of Art Therapy for several years now. I've also recently discovered that I love the research process and have considered going in the direction of research, but I still feel that Art Therapy is the direction that's more fitting for me. I love that you have this blog to share your knowledge and experience. I have some questions for you:

    1. Can you offer any thoughts on what an Art Therapy admissions dept. will be looking for in my portfolio?

    2. Additionally, if you can think of some common misconceptions about Art Therapy, what would those be?

    3. Can you share two things that you love the most about your work and two things that are the biggest challenges in your work?

I would really appreciate your thoughts. :)
